In Disney’s live-action adaptation of 1992’s beloved animated musical Aladdin, Marwen Kenzari plays the scheming and power-hunger grand vizier ‘Jafar’ to Agrabah’s kindly ‘Sultan’ played by Navid Negahban. Jafar uses his hench-parrot ‘Iago’ to spy on the goings-on in the Sultan’s palace and the city streets, and his mind-controlling cobra snake staff to influence the aging monarch.
These screen-used costumes and props from the movie directed by Guy Ritchie were photographed on display at Hollywood Boulevard’s El Capitan Theatre on June 3, where they’ll be exclusively exhibited until June 16, 2019.
Michael Wilkinson was Costume Designer on the musical fantasy and you can see more original Aladdin movie costumes on display including Mena Massoud’s ‘Prince Ali’ costume, Naomi Scott’s ‘Princess Jasmine’ and Will Smith’s ‘Genie’.
In the film Navid Negahban plays the father of ‘Princess Jasmine’ and ruler of the city of Agrabah, who wishes for his daughter to find a worthy prince to marry and succeed him.
